An armed robbery in Floyd County Sunday afternoon led to a high-speed chase that ended in Louisville's California neighborhood.

It all started when two suspects tried to rob Arni's Pizza on State Street in New Albany. Louisville Metro Police officers got involved when they say 21-year-old Rayshawn Walker and a 17-year-old male crossed the bridge and led police to the 1500 block of west St. Catherine Street near California Park.

At one point during the pursuit, police say both suspects jumped out of the car, and Walker ran three blocks before allegedly breaking into a home where Natasha Thomas lives with her two children.

"I asked him: 'Are they looking for you?' He said 'yes.' Then, not even two minutes later, it was about three officers with big guns at my back door, trying to break it open and get in."

Walker surrendered, and faces burglary and other charges. The 17-year-old was also arrested. He's charged with fleeing and evading, disorderly conduct and receiving stolen property.

Both could face additional charges in Floyd County.
