Because there are 3 pay periods in October the first pay of that month includes only days worked in September (pay ending September 27th) which is the last month of the quarter.
This caused some confusion as to whether the Uniform & Equipment allowance should be paid on this pay (9/19/03) or the next (10/3/03) because by contract you are to be paid the Uniform & Equipment allowance at the end of the quarter.
It was originally set up this way because you were paid on the 15th and the 30th therefore, there was always a pay at the end of the quarter. The decision was made to make that payment on the first pay in October (10/3/03) so we would not have issued that payment before the end of the quarter.
This will not affect next quarters payment.
