Unless you are a born super secret detective cop you are still learning the basics of patrol. Half of our agencies problem is that many is 'specialty' positions don't know the basic of patrol, which is the back bone of the agency. Don't like it, go to another agency. Just the opinion of someone with five times your departmental experiences.
