I agree! I have never seen so many partial beards and dirty uniforms...colorful fingernails...the list goes on and on.....have some pride out there would ya.....

Typical. Blame it on the young guys. We are the reason the department is going downhill. Police through the years have always looked so professional, and now us young folk have ruined it. I remember seeing officers throughout my life (of 30 years) that have looked like a bag of a$$. This is nothing new. I personally take pride in the way I look and present myself, and I'm not so sure it's the new blood that has caused this great decline you speak of. In truth, I'm not sure you are accurate about there being an increase in the prevalence of "shabby" looking officers. There are always, and have always been some who care, and others that don't. It happens in all age groups on the department. Some are disgruntled, some are ignorant, and some just do not care about their personal appearance, or that of the department.

Let's stop blaming each other. Those who have the internet fortitude to knock others, try growing a pair and telling violators face-to-face.
