Two officers injured after shots fired near nightclub

Thank God they're OK...could have been much worse.

I've been gone a little while, so maybe this has changed, but: Isn't there a policy prohibiting off-duty work at establishments whose sole (or major portion) income is the sale of alcohol?

Why does it seem like the dept/PIO seem to downplay the incident when talking to the media...."Officer were just graze or slighty injured, we are not shre if they were the intended target".......Maybe no big deal, but it irritates me.....Two of our officers were shot and wounded and we will not tolerate this violent act etc.....

Why doea policy say Homicide would handle this incident not PIU.... The officers did return fire and PIU has only been working these incidents for the past few months..Why not change the policy to reflect what is actully occurring....They change 50 policies a week, why not one that makes sense.

Could 239 Sgt. Davis be anymore of a MICRO manager TOOL of his officers... GEEZZZZ WHATA DORK!

I have grown to absolutely hate that term. Ever notice how people who use it, have very strong opinions about every other officer on the department? And no, I don't hate it because of envy. I'm very professional and have very good judgment in my field.
