Before I retired, I was at the range a minimum of once a month on my own time and my own dime. Was a regular at the gym and trained regularly in defensive tactics. Got to keep your edge and keep your survival skills and tools ready. Besides, you can claim all of those expenses on your taxes. It is not like you are out of anything and it keeps you safe on the street.
