"If you don't see no trouble, you ain't got no business jumping out with your gun out, with yo billy bat...ah...just walking up to people, let me see ya ID," says Bullock, imitating police."

Good job Stephan you obviously found the most educated person you could. I guess to be a reporter in this city the number one criteria is: Never interview someone who has been a victim and appreciates the police. Oh and we haven't carried "billy bats" in quite some time.

who cares?

Uuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......... I'm dumber after reading this crap!

April 18th, 2012 @ 2:13AM (12 years ago)

Shouldn't a story answer questions? I'm more confused after reading all this jiberish. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong or if I missed an important part of this garbage called a news story. Did that moron really complain that outsiders are causing all the problems in the area, but he is upset that the police ask for identification?

Typical public ignorance. They appear to use the necessary amount of force to effect the arrest. Obviously, the young man interviewed should tell his friend to quit resisting the police, and no force would be necessary. The public needs to understand, if you resist arrest, do not follow commands and/or fight the police, we are going to punch, kick, taze, wrestle, or whatever it takes to effect the arrest from a non-compliant or resistive person. Nuff said. If those getting arrested would quit committing crimes, like selling dope, he would not have been in this position.

We got check out everyone. Got to feed those FI'S to that number crunching comSTAT machine. If this chief decides to get off the FI kick from the previous administrations leftovers, the officers will quit jumping out on everyone to get a STAT. Then we will get back to being Police Officers instead of number crunchers. I've seen more stupid crap come down the tubes in past few years than in my whole career which spans a long time. We need to get back to being the Police.

new jokes within policing

April 23rd, 2012 @ 7:27PM (12 years ago)

Just heard 2 things that made me laugh. The report in the Courier on how our narcotics unit was doing so great and how the beat officer is finally sharing information with them. I always thought it was the other way around that the secret squirrels up there never wanted to tell the beat officer what was going on until we found it then they wanted to get involved.

The second was that Manning (West Buechel Chief) got canned. MY question is why does that department need a police force as they do not do anything? All their calls are taken by the 6th Division. The only thing I have ever seen them do is go into the parking lots of Walmart and Home Depot and write parking tickets so they get the revenue. What a joke they all are.

Why is it that Sgt. Hairgel can use force on a middle aged woman and then act guilty on TV on Saturday and be cleared by colonel vacations in the greek islands on monday, yet real cops take down a real criminal and the PD launches an investigation? I guess those beat guys should start hanging out with the mayor and sucking up some more.
