Unfortunately, they probably won't fight it, even if they did sign a waiver. If they did not draft it correctly, it may have left open the possibility of a lawsuit for the officers entering the backyard. That SHOULD be easy to win, but when they won't let the attorneys actually fight the cases, this is what you get.
