FIRST ALWAYS FIRST

good job on the hondas

March 2nd, 2012 @ 1:01PM (12 years ago)

Great job on the guys/gals that snagged the Honda thieves. They were killing us.

Too bad the public doesn't realize that we do this everyday. (not detracting at all from the good work already noted). Aside from some of the command staff, this department has some of the best officers I have ever worked with.

Good Job

I like how the department never put together a detail or task force to put an end to the 80 something cars stolen. It was just by luck detectives spotted it. Anyone agree the department was slowwwww! Also I was getting sick of Ofc.Miller sending out a dozen daily emails with maps, times, locations.

hondas?

When were there Hondas being stolen? Why didn't anyone say anything? Does Chief White know?

The idea of the use of Bait Cars and Trackers was presented to the Brass, but it was immediately shot down. Even a well known insurance company and vehicle salvage yard offered Honda vehicles at "NO COST" to the department, the Brass still did not want to hear it (possibly because the idea was not his own) and shut it down. Our job as Detectives is to investigate and solved crime through collective and innovative thinking. But by the egos of others i.e. The Brass, we tend to get our hands tied. Awesome job 6th and 7th Division Detectives and Officers. ( You know who you are)

An Honest Statement

All posts from inside the department aside: I actually like this little article. It's just an honest statement from someone outside of the department.
