RE: Five finalists named for Louisville Metro Police Department...

Since you didn't say which one I fit into let me answer to the best of my abilities. From your own reference.

******In my life, I've received enough bad advice to print out and gift wrap Mount Everest. Everyone is quick to offer it, regardless of whether you asked or not ... and with so much coming in, it's hard to separate genuine wisdom from verbal toilet paper. The problem is that you won't ever know the answer to that until your problem is over, when you can say, "OK, Chad was right. Punching a bull in the nuts isn't a good idea." Or, "Greg is full of ****. Punching them more only made him angrier******

#5. Zealots and Advocates

As far as being a zealot, when it comes to taking care of the police family, yes I am. That's why I don't trust anything a politician says and wait for time to prove one way or the other.

#4. *** Kissers

Obviously I don't fall into this category

#3. Faceless Crowds

Yes posting here is faceless but considering the ramifications of putting your name out other than a few, how could you blame me. Not like making the higher ups including the mayor mad won't have negative connotations. Remember you can be passed over for promotion 3 times before you are given a reason. Each list is good for 2 years so make the wrong person mad and you are on the wrong list for 6 years before they even have to come up with a reason. By the way you didn't put your name up.

#2. Instigators

Might say it fits but that implies an outcome based on supposition of alleged facts that I directed you to. Fisher saying he will settle the EMS contract then not doing it isn't instigation. Its holding him to his word. Pointing out state law says to bargain in good faith isn't instigation if the FIRST offer was a month AFTER the contract was expired.

#1. Smart-Sounding People Without Experience

Been here for over ten years and less than twenty. Doesn't make me an expert or idiot. One reply to my posts said current contract was working OK for him. I didn't say anything about that in a reply since it is his personal interest he stated. But since I have pointed out similarities between Jerry and Fisher, and the only rebuttal I have received is Fisher sat with us at a football game and Jerry never would have done that. True, Jerry wouldn't have done that. But sounds like Fisher is playing the smartest man in the room with no experience. Never ran a government entity before( I personally count that as an advantage) but wants to act like he is everyone's friend. If he is such a leader then why are individuals on here saying he can't change overnight what Jerry screwed up in 20 years. Shouldn't he be out there saying it since he is a leader? Or is he just being smart without experience ? Smart in the fact of not being the one to deliver bad news but has no experience in how to change things with an electoral advantage without angering the majority.
