REALLY???????????????? Are you from this planet?????? Do you realize that in these budget crunching economic times LMPD recently spent $100K in overtime for officers to do nothing but patrol the west end, operation SAVE was what it was called. Funny the east end and south end saw absolutely ZERO extra police presence from that $100k expenditure. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??

Every year for the past several years there is a "task force" formed that does nothing but patrol he west end while never touching the east or south. In fact for many of the years the officers were pulled from guess where..............that's right the east and south ends, leaving them short officers to patrol while the west end is saturated with officers.

Derby Time, Broadway "cruising" or in reality crime festival occurs yearly. A special 4-5 day detail is put together for where.......that's right the west end so they can have THEIR derby, even though derby is just 2 days. Pegasus parade, watch when it is over where does the special detail of officers go...................that's right the west end. You can see police all over the west end but try to get one in the east or south.

As for not bringing the west end mayhem to the east end....uh yes they do. Its called forced busing my friend. How many of the burglars and robbers that commit crimes in the east end live there?? Not very many, the overwhelming majority live where....................right again, the west end. Blame it on whatever you like, poverty, racism, drugs it really doesn't matter as the truth is the truth. The west end sucks more resources from LMPD than any other part of the county yet contributes the least.

And could you show how you came about your conclusion that NO LMPD OFFICER assigned to the west end wants to be there? There are a great may that stay there their entire career and many that request transfers there when they could stay in the east or south ends. You see they have integrity and honor, even though there are loudmouths such as yourself constantly complaining about what the government is NOT doing for you and how YOU could do it better, these men and women of many races do their jobs with Pride, Integrity, and Guts (that's PIG for the 60s and 70s generation still around) every day 24/7. They do it while being asked to more with less. They do it with little or no support from the upper echelon of the dept. They do it for very little money compared to other cities and depts their size. They do it despite the constant use of PC and liberalism of the courts. They do it despite the ultra left wing view spouted daily from our local media that rarely has anything good to say about our Police force. They do it without so much as a thank you from people like yourself. They do it knowing Officers in this county or state or country are threatened, violently assaulted, shot at or even killed on a daily basis simply because of what they represent. But that is OK you keep going on hating and they will keep going on risking their lives to protect the sheep such as yourself. In the end I think you will find yourself all alone and in a very warm place for all the hatred you spout.

I could go on but whats the point. And I am proud to depend on these "civil servants" as you put it, to protect me and my family. If you don't like them, then simply don't call them, handle your business yourself. And if you think you can do soooooooooooooooo much better, the application is online my friend from the west!!
