Merit board reduces suspension of officer who ticketed 7-year-old

I know several officers that have made requests re: harnesses, suspenders and the like and have been turned down. Most of the time, they aren't even visible, but God forbid they want to prevent serious back injuries in officers later on down the line.

The Police have been para military, we are not "going" to be.

The issue being, mostly, is how things are run, not how we look. We are the Police, we should look like the Police.
