Actually, LMPD is the only agency in KY that does not let their officers perform their own BA. It is not a KY thing. We are the odd ball.

We are for the most part, lesser trained, and slower to get a broad base of experience than officers across the state in the grand scheme of things. Those that disagree probably have not been outside of Louisville.

It's just the nature of working for LMPD.
