If she equals leadership and something positive for LMPD in ANY capacity, then in my humble opinion that department is done and I'm glad I am retired. Rumor has it that Chief White told her she could either retire or be demoted. Ask around people. Find out. I know the rumors are flying and it's just about ratings and throwing early names around, but really? What is with this obsession of going backwards for you guys? LMPD might become the laughing stock of the U.S. if they hired her for anything. All of those people they mentioned (Winstead, Dumeyer, Conrad) and any others from the past left there to find employment elsewhere. You do not reward that if you are trying to build and shape confidence from the inside of your organization, especially at a time when the organization is lacking outside turmoil. Find someone in your own department, take a risk, and go forward. Whoever that might be.
