Career of Robert White, next Denver police chief, marked by controversy

Not to comment for all Denver Officers, but as proud member of this Department, I am disgusted with OUR Mayors decision to go beyond our own ranks to fill this position with what appears to be a worse option than we already had in place.

We thought we had a "smart" Mayor as well finally replacing an idiot and "police hating" Mayor who happens to be our still police hating and liberal Govenor. However he has shown his political stance and picked a less than desired person who has never walked a beat in Denver, nor bled with us! Granted he at some point began his career as a COP! Yet it is typical to see them forget what it is like to be on the streets, fight the battle, watch their children grow from home movies and the phone calls late into the shift! Its the line officers who should make the $160,000 a year!!
