Fund set up for LMPD officer who died unexpectedly

WOW, that will be a career ender! I am a police officer and I am offended by that video. How can a Police Officer be so dumb as to hit the guy in the head with his flashlight. I know there are situations where that would justified, but NOT THIS ONE! BUH BUH OFFICER! Way to embarrass the dept. and end your profession!

The suspect was resisting and refusing to comply in a crowded environment full of drunk people. It is more viable that the officer was attempting to end the conflict quickly with an impact weapon strike to a large muscle group (bicep, trap) and the suspect moved and was instead struck in the head. These things happen.
