New law will reduce arrests for misdemeanors in Kentucky

You guys got it backward - generate LOTS of misdemeanor cites, let them all go FTA, and then you have to arrest 'em on bench warrants. This is a shortsighted answer to a much bigger problem.

And don't like the law - CALL YOUR LEGISLATOR AND TELL THEM WHY. I guarantee most of them simply passed what they were handed as a package and have little idea what they passed - this was buried in the middle of a very long bill.

And what do you all thing about all the other new laws that were passed? This isn't the only new law, after all. What about the changes in the fireworks law?

It has been 30 years since we had an aggressive police force. You could go down and play with the Audubon PD. maybe they'll let you join in one of their speed traps.
