thanks for seeing my point of view and I agree with yours also. We all know that when a raise comes up so does the issue of paying more for our insurance. Health insurance is something that both the former city and county officers fought for and gave up raises to have and keep. This should be number one on our contract. It does not do any good to get a raise then pay more for insurance than the raise covers. BUT some cannot see this and only see the money aspect from their checks.

As for the car issue I would like to see them go to a system where everyone could use the car to and from with a cost associated with it. Keep in mind that there are officers who live in Indiana who are much closer (mileage wise) than those living in other counties in Kentucky.

This department is very HEAVY on the top with most having little to actually do with the troops. There are administrative LTs along with administrative Sgts to do some of the same work. Getting rid of the lease cars is a great idea. Can anyone advise why it appears most officers in a FLEX or other undercover assignment needs or has a f-150 pick up extended cab? WHY is this needed?

FYI........DARE and Safety City officers were put back on the street 2 years ago. The only thing left is the Citizens Academy and then a Civilian takes care of sending out specialized cars (two which are old and fading) to the Divisions for Community events -------the Division has to send one of their own officers to get the cars and return them. I am not sure where you have been but that is the latest on Community Relations!
