You are wrong about being in the same boat. The fees have stopped because Metro Gov voluntarily stopped charging us a fee. The court did not rule that the fees had to stop during the appeal. If we vote NO, then the lawsuit continues and Metro starts charging us $160 a month again. Don't be silly.

Lets not start name calling, but let's face facts. This person is wrong. What will they do if we vote no? Then they will win. Judge Perry's ruling was clear and unequivocal. Both sides have to negotiate and come to an agreement on this. This isn't about chest thumping. This is about being reasonable.

When this program was first started, probably before the author of the above post was even born nobody ever anticipated $3-$4 or even $5 a gallon gasoline. This is an issue that is about dollars and sense as much as it is about dollars and cents.

Go ahead and vote no. See what happens when your attitude and belligerence costs everyone else monies illegally taken from them and the reimposing of a fee. You are selfish and immature to think otherwise.

Whine and complain all you want but this is the right thing to do. This is what we requested at the beginning of this whole mess, to be able to sit down and negotiate.

Sometimes the whining that goes on here makes me sick. You are benefiting financially for the department allowing you to use your vehicle off duty. The business community is benefiting but the cost of it is being footed by everyone else.

So you think that if you have to pay for 1 tank of gas a month that is unfair? Crybaby.
