LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A long-time Kentuckiana firefighter was killed while trying to save another person. It happened Wednesday afternoon in Gallatin Co. in northern Kentucky on Interstate 71. Danny Allen always held a full-time job outside the fire station, and it was while he was working on that job that he lost his life. Allen worked for an environmental recovery company.
