Need I remind you that the Grand Jury already heard the evidence and ruled on this? You do know that the grand jury was made up of citizens right? It is done - leave him alone. He has been thru enough.

A .13 at her age is a lot. That aside they both had mitigating circumstances, speed was likely a factor, but not a sole factor. The fact is the liable party would be in a no-fault state would be primarily on the individual whom interrupted the flow of traffic by pulling into the right of way. Even with speed a factor, the officer is not 100% liable, only a portion. This is a tragic situation that could have been avoided by both parties but the fact remains that it was not. A settlement will likely be resolved but where would the money go. I would hope that any parents that contributed would not take guilt money and consider sending it to an education program.

Nothing excuses drinking and driving, but that being said, the girl had made it that far without having an accident which does not indicate a complete lack of ability to drive. It is also unreasonable to assume that had she not been drinking, the accident would not have occurred. It is simply factual, that had the officer not been driving at almost double the speed limit, that the accident would NOT have occurred.

The disregard for this woman who lost her life arguably more through the fault of the typically arrogant lawless cops in this city, than through her own error, is sickening. The behavior exhibited on this website is unacceptably childish, and the failure by any law enforcement officers to head off behavior that is attributable to them, is also unacceptable.

Very rarely do I believe lawsuits against the city are meritorious, this one is absolutely deserving. I hope it also wakes up the command as to the unacceptable behavior of the entitled children running around this city with guns and badges.
