That's something I try to get the younger officer to understand, which is these commanders want, and tell, them to get out there and "get it done". but when it comes down to it, it is the officers butts on the line, and NO commander is gonna put thiers (arses) on the line with them. THAT is a Promise.

Amen to that. Officers are still being summoned to an audience before newly appointed colonels and threatened with discipline because of low stats. Business as usual.
