I would venture to say that if the "new evidence" they received was damning enough to warrant a new investigation than they would not have backed off the punishment but asked the merit board for additional time to increase the punishment to include termination. Since they chose to void her previous punishment I suspect that she will be "exhonerated" in the near future and her attorney will be filing a lawsuit against the department and this worthless oxygen thief will be getting a much bigger pay
