I remember doing "blood" escorts and blocking the road for ambulances quite often before merger. Not so much now. If you are asking if I will do it when requested, YES I will. If you are asking if I will do it because a fellow member of my department or another department is injured, if asked, YES I WILL. Sorry you don't like it but that is the way it is. If you think it is wrong get a law to change it otherwise deal with it.

I am not a cop but I don't understand your anger. As far back as my very young childhood, I can remember a few incidents where a police officer, firefighter, or EMT were rushed to the hospital and from youth well into adulthood, it has never occurred to me to be angry that they treat it this way. I consider people in these professions to be the ones that go into situations that 99% of people are running away from, so if they get hurt protecting me or this community, they should absolutely be rushed to the hospital the way they are. However, I have also seen it done for numerous citizens, including one I knew personally. So while there are clearly more police cars VISIBLE in a situation like the one this week, that is only coworkers rushing to support their friend. I don't view it as more being done for a cop than anyone else. Other citizens have people rushing behind an ambulance to the hospital as well, but they don't drive cop cars, so you interpret a police shooting as somehow getting more attention. No, it's just a more VISIBLE attention. You should really get over yourself. Carrying such hatred and anger around isn't good for anyone.
