I couldn't agree more especially about the lack of professionalism from command. You have certain ones that treat people with no dignaty or respect the hard workers are looked down upon while the lazy good ol boys club get away with everything. Sorry, guys, everyone who knew Aubrey knew he was going to let Hettich run the agency, and Hettich is a vindictive SOB. He ran on the platform that he was going to make the office professional - duh - you have been there 8 YEARS and you have taken it backwards, not forwards. He claimed to take politics out, and he just managed to inject it back in - he is part of the Democratic Party Machine and proud of it. Vaughn had his issues, but he was not political at all - which was his downfall. One little tidbit everyone forgets is that Vaughn did not have to send ANY deputies to the academy at all, yet he managed, in 5 years, to get just about everyone through the academy - there were only a handful who didn't go for physical reasons. All new hires had to go, even though again, he didn't have to do so. So Aubrey is taking credit for something he did not do.

My guess is he'll "retire" after the next swearing in and encourage the Governor to appoint Hettich in his place.
