Mmmmmn, talk about disrespect? Who are these people that show up? They pretty much all (with a few exceptions) will have graduated from the number 1 public safety academy in the U.S. And you have it backwards, KSP shows up to back THEM up, KSP is secondary to the local law enforcement most of the time.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted something on here. You can keep bitching about how the command staff doesn't like you, the media hates you and the public doesn't respect you......but you can change that. Thank you for your years of service to my old city. KSP is a secondary agency, so anytime theirs a riot or a chase your command staff doesn't want you involved in, you can rest your head knowing we'll come in and get the job done. Again, stay safe

So, What about the education and training of smaller Depts.?

Ok, since someone needs to get you to quit comparing the size of your batons, lets get this out in the open. I have been blessed to work for two agencies now, one by choice, one by merger. Both have been good to me for different reasons. I have also been blessed to have many close friends with agencies all across this state, of varying sizes and types.

What I have found is that the person behind the badge is far more important to me than the agency they work for. To the grey gods I know, I love ya... To the guys in Glasgow, Inez, Paducah, Muldraugh, Lagrange, I love ya also.

Do I think WE as law enforcement could improve, yes. Do I think their are some things my agency is second to none in the state at, YES... but I also recognize that my brother and sisters in Fish and Wildlife are truly bad *** in their skill sets, that my KSP brothers are awesome in their attitude of "one fight, one trooper" and that I have learned so much from officers of every officer from every agency that have worked with.

In the end, two grown arse men comparing their manhoods on an open forum is both foolish and waste time that we could be spending on more worthwhile pursuits...
