Hal Heiner leads Greg Fischer by seven points in mayoral race poll

Only because you sound like you want to represent yourself as a cop I will say this. I want to thank you for bashing me because I have an opinion. Thank God we have cops like you who respect other peoples opinions and freedom of speech. The fact you took an opinion about one person and turned it in to a personal attack and in a defensive manner tells me you are shallow and more than likely uneducated. Please leave my department before you and the few other bad and arrogant cops give the rest of us a bad name. I wonder how you behave when dealing with the public on a daily basis. You like Fischer because he more closely mirrors the practices of the current mayor, not that he has experience or even answers a question half-heartedly when questioned. That being said, i'll rest my opinion about you and vote for Hal next week. Will you even be voting?

Yes, actually, I do. An inexperienced major office-holder causes all sorts of problems - do you really want someone in the office who is proud they know nothing about the basic structure of the government they want to lead? That just ends up costing LOTS of money to the taxpayers. For example, a sheriff who doesn't know it is illegal (under federal law) to just fire all the deputies because they supported the other side? They all think they can do it, but it is illegal under federal law. Cost Hopkins County a big chunk of change a few years ago. Do you want someone like Nagin, who when the hurricane was bearing in, suddenly realized, oh, it is MY job to deal with this?
