That isn't what people hear - I remember folks defending all of those names - which is why I remember them. It's one thing to be supportive until the case develops, but again, was Marlowe doing a good job? Do you really want someone mucking up cases that badly wearing the same badge? When you say - back them to the end - that is what they hear - no matter what, you are going to defend even a bad cop.
