I foolishly used to believe this site was a forum used by a hefty portion of LMPD officers to talk about issues related to the Department. Reality is...this site is worthless and if you didn't know any better you would think the same as I did. It is really the same old people posting on here like Coyote, kickbacks, capt ahab, and a few other like minded people who are best suited for each others' company. They have nothing to say, but just continue to spew their venomous comments and if you do not subscribe to their way of thinking, you are a troll or must "be on the bowling team." Right now one of them is fuming reading this and will undoubtedly respond with something negative. It will likely be a one line sentence much like a child does when they throw a temper tantrum. I am guilty because I have been entertained by their (or should I say you all's) stupidity. Nobody reads this crap so you guys are basically communicating amongst yourselves. (Now, top that grammar with you sixth grade writing skills).

BOYCOTT COURIER JOURNAL. I dont buy their paper, they will not get one cent from me! With the again front page publication of the Detective on there, i went to their website and read the crap, ANYONE can see when they read the article that it is clearly a Personal Vandetta against the Detective. Even friends of mine have called saying the CJ made that clear. Yes there may have been some laxed Detective work done,but i dunno i wasnt there, but nothing criminal. The CJ wants her hung out on the Courthouse Square and linched. I say if you subscribe to their news paper, cancel it, hit them where it hurts. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Thats right folks. Larry Bisig the guy who was presenting himself as the F.O.P's spokesperson and advisor during the vehicle debacle is holding a fundraiser at his home for your Mayor, Jerry Abramson and the Governor. So can anyone explain why the FOP allowed an obvious political hack of the mayor to be a part of the FOP's battle over getting the shaft regarding the take home car issue?

What's up with Fall Firearms? I hear they are expecting a high failure rate. Firearms use to be fun when you could actually go shoot off a few hundred rounds while you were there to qualify. My gun has jammed twice while using their "led free" ammo, and talk about some dirty ammo ugh. Oh well maybe when they have a high failure rate they will change a few things.

All I can say about the courier journal's article on Marlowe is wow. Portraying a public defender as fair and impartail and without an agenda is a complete sham and a joke. As a detective myself, I have witnessed many times, and on numerous cases I have won, their cheap tactics deployed in their attempt to make a name for themselves. It is not about justice but about getting any recognition they can to advance their career. As for the "experts" hired by the courier to examine the investigation, what were they paid for their time and what is their true experience with investigations? And their diversification is astounding..All elder white males. I would caution any students in college about taking classes from these guys. Even as a professor, you must seek to find the good and bad in all cases to help your students have a better understanding and analysis of both sides. If that is not the case, then shame on the courier journal for printing only quotes that portray the negative facts. I love books on police behavior. I would just like to see once, a book on pompious and arrogant college professors who offer their opinions during the course of teaching impressional minds.

All that being said, I do not and will not tolerate an officer who gives my profession and reputation a black eye. If it is truly warranted, then so be it. I also know, even in cases such as murder, there are two sides to every story and printing only one side of the story as the gospel is irresponsible and damaging to society and the credibility of good police officers across the country. Keep it up people and you will find one day, the fine police officers who come to work every day and do their jobs the best they know how will have no credibility to enforce and prosecute the law. After that, we might as well all arm ourselves and our homes and prepare for a revisit to the wild west days. Yes there are bad officers, not that the facts will ever unbiasedly show Marlowe was right or wrong, but there are many great ones with big hearts trying to do the right thing.
