Another financial blunder!

Very true. The police department and any public safety agency is not a business. It will never make profit nor will it ever be popular because of the cost of running these agencies. We cannot foolishly spend money in one area then claim that it is the fault of public safety because their piece of the pie is bigger than anyone else's.
