I never brought the mayor or anyone else in goverment in this nor did I call anyone names or even refer to previous postings with your name(s).

There are side jobs for alot of professions so why do you have an issue with someone making money sleeping in a car? If the company that is paying the person doesn't care why should you? I don't agree with sleeping when out there but that is me. If someone is going to pay someone for just sitting there in uniform and do nothing else, who is it hurting? This is not my first job, been working since I was 16 and will continue to do so as long as I can or need to. Your comment on the insurance thing is right, it is a system thing, but why air that out here? Every officer that has a personal car for their family use has the same issue with paying the permiums. If you get into an accident and use the insurance it goes up. Nothing is fair about the insurance business but this is not the place to air that as we have no control over it. Although I do not agree with your therory of better credit rating the higher you cost should be, I do not have an answer on how to improve it.

I am sorry life and people have given you difficult situations in the past (or present) but you can't always blame the police for what they have or are getting on what your missing. Once again, I work for what I have and do without for what I cannot afford. I know a lot of officers who do the same.

None of us said the world was ending by us paying for the car. The issue was the mayor should have come to us at the table and talked to us about it as it was always used as a reason not to give us a decent raise in the past. I will post debate with you if you keep on the subject matter but this posing started out with the problems with JCPS and what they are putting the kids and parents through. Then someone started on how the police get their cars for free and don't sacrafice. Remember, everyone is scaraficing something even if it is not readily visable to others.

I know how you can get some extra money to help make ends meet, sell your computer and use the time you would normally spend bashing police on here to work a second job.
