Thats just it you twit. Your arrogance and self promotion has kept you from comprehending the very simple point that it is compeltely possibly that SOME people are already sacrificing all they can, and still cant afford private school tuition or those luxuries. SOME people shop for secondhand clothes knowing the hardships that their kids will face because they dont have the newest shoes or the latest jeans, because people like you who are oblivious to what REAL sacrifice is, dont bother to teach your kids that it isnt all about driving older cars, but how they treat other people, and since you cant understand that simple fact, I cant possibly see how you could be teaching your kids any differently.

Bottom line is, the cars have been part of the compensation package since the 1970s. Taking them away now, without providing a commensurate raise, is against basic labor law - which is why the Labor Cabinet ruled as it has. No different than a company that offers health insurance, and then suddenly does not, it's part of the package.

Not to mention, the cars carry a hefty benefit to the community for which we aren't paying at this point, although, by law, officers COULD insist on OT for the responses they make while off the clock - but haven't, because it has long been considered a trade-off for the cars.
