Another reason why the local ecomony is in the tank.

We live outside the county for several reasons - a major one being that we know where our kids will go to school based on where we live. My husband has to park his police car at the station and drive his private vehicle home but it is more than worth it to us.

The busing situation in this city is beyond ridiculous. School attendance should be based on where you live - it makes sense financially and socially as well. I can't imagine the ugly surprise parents get when they transfer into the Jefferson County school system from other states.

The entire Jefferson County government needs to be replaced.

The whole busing issue in one of the main reasons why I shelled out over $5K just for my son to attend kindergarten. Best money I ever spent! Friends of our that live way out on Taylorsville Rd in J-town were told there son would attend school in Newburg. Now they are going to shell out $5K to have their son attend private school. JCPS is the best thing going for private school attendance. My son will never attend JCPS!
