Jeff council approves contract with police
Jeff patrol officers get 4% this year, and the council eliminated 6 majors' positions. WTF!
Why does LMPD continue to get screwed? Oh yeah, the contract committee recommended to take the first thing the county threw at us. I did'nt vote for it and don't know anybody that did, but it passed somehow. Then the ballots were destroyed.
Insurance goes up every year now(used to be free), take home car fees now(used to be none), lousy 2% raise every year(does'nt even get close to cost of living increase). I make less now than I did 3 years ago.
Does everyone know that your take home car fees come out after taxes? You are taxed on that money like you would be keeping it all, then the county takes out the car fees for themselves tax free. It actually costs you more than what they are stealing because it is taxed first. What a bargain! Good job McGuire!
