This is becoming a common theme...thug shoots at cops. Guys and gals...now more than ever we need to stick together! Stop making two car runs and advising on them. I have done it and I hear it 3-4 times a day on the radio. Few people in this community care about us (those that dont know who they are!). Some only care if some face time can be received so they look good to the public.

For Gods sake...back each other up! If it interrupts dinner have them box it up and save it for you. I dont want to read the CJ online (Wont pay for the real paper) and see another officer shot. We have one recovering here (Get well Mrs Rice) and one now in LExington. Lets fight the good fight but do it safely!

To our brother in service in Lexington: My prayers are for a quick recovery.

To my brethren on LMPD: We must ensure that two officer runs are two officer runs. No assumptions, no chances. If dispacth is unhappy, they will forgive us. If the citizenry is unhappy with delays on the runs, they will have to forgive us.

His name is officer Nick Whitcomb and today his shoulder was operated on. The surgery went very well and he should be released to go home in a couple of days.

well this is becoming a a too familiar trend. Thug shoots cop, spouse gets the call no one ever wants, thug goes to court and P.O.S. lawyer cries about hoe tough his life has been and if only society had cared a little3 more about him he wouldnt have had to turn to a life of crime, what a good boy he really is and how he was gonna get his ged or was gonna go to jobcorp that very next morning....meanwhile spouses are in shock, bills will be stacking up , and if its this department, you'll be under investigation for the next 6-8 months to make sure you didnt violate that poor boys rights somehow or god forbid you violated a policy!!!!....or even worse , you brought the city into some sort of percieved bad light ( then you'll more than likely find yourself indicted) get well soon and I hope your people ( mayor and command staff ) are better than ours!!!! AAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHHH.........Capt AHAB

Hey guys, Im a Lexington Metro officer. Thank you for all your support and prayers for Ofc. Witcomb. We have done the same for the LMPD officer who was shot. This has been a real eye opener for both agencies. We imagine that this summer will be very rough in Lex and im sure in your city also. Now more than ever we as LEO's need to stick together and back one another. If its a hot call let it rain police. Thanks agin guys and gals

Isn't it great to be underappreciated, you risk your lives every day out there, risk being shot everytime you approach a vehicle and get second guessed all the time! We support you all! Both Cardinal COPS and Wildcat COPS. It's good to see the bad guy got caught.

p.s. write more truck drivers tickets
