As a tax paying citizen of the City of Louisville I am appalled that the Mayor would even suggest charging officers a fee!!!! The salary that they are paid is far from above average! The price that they pay putting their lives on the line DAILY is more than most any of us would pay and then to ask them to pay the Mayor in order to drive these vehicles homes is ridiculous!! It is a service to us citizens to have those vehicles parked in our neighborhoods and I would like the Mayor to consider that!!
