I can't believe this is your reply. It is true the price will continue to go up that's a no brainer. The real issue is you would rather make a payment on something that is going to continue to rise in price so you never pay it off. I would much rather buy something and start paying it off now than six months from now. I can't understand why everyone hangs onto these cars so much. Yeah I know " I've got to buy a car now" Go bujy a car , it doesn't have to be a new Benz. Buy a beater and drive back and forth.

You are forgetting that depending on your tax situation, you can deduct 100% of expenditures or $.55 per mile for using your personal vehicle for business use!!! Those of you who work lots of off-duty to make ends meet, will probably end up better off at year-end. GET THE FACTS FIRST!

Every officer needs to stand together. My husband is on a specialty team and is turning his car in this week. His bring home pay continues to reduce, and I am ashamed to say that I now make more money than he does, and I have a cushy office job! Shameful that you put your lives on the line EVERY time you put you climb into that car, and to be paid what you are - every citizen in this community shoud be outraged!
