Police Officers given new list of ultimatums

If its not for off duty.. then its EGO. "i want the car so i can look cool and let everyone know im a big bad policeman". What REAL benefit are they anyway? Gas..ok maybe a savings of 50-80month..still losing money if keeping the car...insurance..well if you had a rider from yor insurance company on the "police" car like you are suppose to to PROTECT you,your family and that house 35-40 month savings..car payment...for a car that is YOURS asset,collateral..PRICELESS.

IF you took this career choice for that car..resign...if you are hurting for pay that much opt out of the fop save those dues for your family. When you were in the FTO/PTO program your trainer should have told you,"DO NOT RELY ON OFF DUTY OR THIS CAR TO MAKE MENDS MEET. IF YOU ARE PUT ON ADM. LEAVE OR OUT LIGHT DUTY YOU CANNOT WORK OFF DUTY OR DRIVE A DEPARTMENTAL VEHICLE UNLESS APPROVED (UNMARKED ONLY). These cars are ONLY a convience nothing more nothing less.
