Police Officers given new list of ultimatums

Well, this is now the Louisville Metro Police Department so lets see what happens. Sure there will be a few that will want to keep their cars. Those are the ones that have free or reduced rate apartments. Maybe they are the ones (not me) just getting started on this low paid--high risk job. They can't afford a house payment right now. I am not angry at them. If we can just get the majority to park that would be great! Don't hate on your fellow officers. We are all Brothers and Sisters here. The merger passed and now we are all suffering with a low life leading our county/city that I for one used to love. I only have a few years left of this crap of dealing with him. I can't wait to retire and go find a smaller police department that still believes in taking care of those who take care of the public. I don't need the car. I have a car I can drive to and from work. I always did have a car in the event that this might happen. Chiefs come and go and so do their ideas and orders for us. I do want to add that I remember the day I was issued MY police car. What an exciting day that was. I was the POLICE and I had a real POLICE car of my own. How can you guys talk down to the new guys that want to keep that dream alive? I bet you remember the first day you drove that car home too! I got a hoopty but man I was proud of it. Whatever happens happens. I heard he wants to end the take home program anyway. I will park mine when it is time so don't call me a non parker just because I tried to shed some light on some things you all may have forgotten along the way!
