I agree with you, but the public is going to be harmed one way or another. It just won't be our doing. If I can't stop a drunk driver, help a stranded motorist, or respond promptly to a run because I DON'T HAVE A DAMN CAR, then that is not a case of me refusing to help the public. Oh yes, the public is probably going to suffer, and it's really unfortunate. Assuming I actually manage to obtain a working police car at some point during my shift, and maybe a working MDT, then I will continue to help
