Lets be realistic... As a police officer myself, I really do care about at least ATTEMPTING to protect your family in the event that someone is breaking into your home at 3 AM about to hurt you. However, it's entirely possibly that my platoon will be holding runs and/or I'll be responding from 10 friggin' miles away. I'm not going to do you much good when I get there 15 minutes later. BUY YOURSELF A DAMN GUN AND LEARN HOW TO YOU IT IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER.
