Firefighters OK four-year pact

October 13th, 2007 @ 10:34AM (16 years ago)

I went to the website and did not see anything about an accelerated class. All I saw was applications for Cadet Troopers, and there is no way in hell that I am going through an academy again.

I have a brother who is a higher ranked Louisville Firemen. I don' t think the city respects the Men and Women who put there life on the line for them. I don't think contract was fair, However sometimes you can win a loosing battle. I make more than that and I sit in a desk..

We need to pay them what there worth..

'no raises for the first year. In subsequent years, the raises are 2.3 percent, 3.8 percent and 2 percent,'

Didn't Abramson refuse to negotiate with them when they decided to take the 2,2 2??

Sounds like hizzoner lost on the final rounds for a change.

This just leaves the Police, EMS corrections without contracts now. 1 out of 4 ain't bad jerry, but then again this one took two years. The police have only been without a contract for 3 months for the officers and sergeants and 15 months for the Captains and Lieutenants.
