RE: 7th Division Officers Involved in Fatal Shooting After Responding...

Regardless of where you are from, I find it funny that everyone keeps talking on these posts like E Harlow and or the Officer are who are personally placing these posts.

You stated "we have our problems but i dont remember when a police officer here bragged about killing someone" I dont recall seeing any posts on here that stated anything that sounded like the Officer involved in this incident had posted anything, let alone to boast about the fact that he had to kill an individual?

Then your comment of : ("theres no way in the world that i would ever want anybody i worked with that night to do what i done or be involved in what ive been because "I KNOW I CAN HANDLE IT"handle what? killing.. do you have to be a certain type of person or be in a certain frame of mind to just easily "kill" he made it sound as though he is comfortable with this type of thing. where i come from that is what we call a thug... no emotion , just shoot to kill.did he mean it that way or was he protecting somone else from the the pain he is feeling for takeing a life) Keep in mind you were reading a newspaper article.

Not to mention that this officer walked into a situation of a women getting ready to be killed execution style when the officer walked through the door to have the gun turned on him and was shot at! Then you say "seems it may have been justified", what part of the courier journal article that was posted did you not see that part of? If someone shot at you, I think you would find a reason for it to be justified.

With regards to those most current tragedy- you said if there is proof that Evan shot his gun then come public with it, if you go back on the courier journal you will see an article posted May 4th, that clarified from the Chief of Police that the gun was fired, (i'm not sure what else anyone else wanted) but due to the investigation that takes place in all situations of this nature, there is only so much that can be told up until it is over.

So I feel you have no rights to talk down this officer as if he was the one in error, when you know nothing of this accident, nor of the past one.

Since you took a step above to state you dont know Evan but to grant him peace, but yet you dont know the officer either choose to state 'just let it be right'- I am so glad that everyone thinks that when an officer is forced to kill someone they feel glorified that its just that, move on!!

You immediately down talked everyone for the posts on here, yet your post was not any different. You refrained from cursing, that is about it.

All of the posts either talk down the officer and praise the 16 yr old who was running from the Law with a gun, or vice versa the ones who are ignorantly talking down Evan as if there is glorification there either.

This whole world is in trouble, it isnt just this city.
