Government watchdog group hints of cover-up

He fires someone for testing positive positive for marijuana stating it will not be tolerated, which i do not personally disagree with, but that makes him a hypocrite and a criminal (if its true). But where there is smoke there is fire. Id be willing to bet there is at least some legitimacy to the complaint and our contract shouldnt depend on whether we made him mad or not.

If you think kissing his A** is going to help our contract talks you need to wake up!!!

Your Kidding! Cover it up!

It was 20 ywears ago, but right is right and wrong is wrong. It sure seems from reading the DC Watch story that a cover up took place. It also seems that because there was a cover up he was allowed to continue law enforcement and work in Greensborro and Louisville. I also wonder why this was never published in the local news media outlets and how it amazingly was not discovered when the search committee was looking for a Chief of Police back in 2002???

Doesn't anyone realize that if we compare a criminal's past crimes to this it would make an obvious difference? Ex. Your Priest at Church fondled your child. He is guilty as sin. You go to the Bishop and the priest is transferred to a different parish. Unfortunately he continues his behavior there also and is transferred again. Everything keeps getting covered up because we want to avoid a scandal. We wait and wait and finally someone does somethning about it and it rocks the community because now there are lawsuits and criminal charges brought years later.

This is an example that the people of Louisville can agree upon because it happened here. I am not comparing Chief White to a pedophile. I am only saying that covering up and lying about something to avoid scandal is wrong. If someone does something wrong they should pay their pennance and move on. For every crime there is a punnishment. No one should be exempt. Standards are there for a reason and should not be ignored when it is convenient for the brass.
