LOUISVILLE AREA OFFICERS
September 19th, 2006 @ 1:33PM (18 years ago)
The J. Graham Brown Cancer Center, which handles the process around here, has grant funding (meaning FOR FREE) for police and firefighters to get the test - which is a painless cheek swab - but only if you get it done before 9/30/06. So, get down to the Bone Marrow center there and get it done. You might not be in time to help Jason, but you just may save the life of someone else. Anyone can get hit with leukemia.
(Unfortunately, I'm told, the free testing doesn't extend to EMS personnel, though.)
For the record, I've been on the registry for years.
