Channel 32 Investigation Targets The Police

This is not the first time this particular news anchor has attempted to showcase the police in a bad light. It will not be the last. Could it be that he is resentful for the times he was arrested for DUI? Im sure that plays a big role in his decisions to publish these stories.

If the news people want to target the police, why don't the police simply target the news media? I'm not saying do anythig bad, but if a news truck is illegally parked ticket or tow it. If someone is speeding make sure they get a ticket. I'm sure there are a lot more skeletons in Channel 32's closet than that of the police department.

I am one of those who have found themselves moving out of my lane to allow passage of a speeding police officer. I understand that there are times when police officers need to get places in a hurry, but when I see them wearing a t-shirt and blowing past traffic I get upset. Please slow down and practice what you preach.

Can you say 2 previous DUIS? That is why he hates the police. It isn't like they may have saved his life or someone elses when they stopped him.

Has anyone heard the rumor that PSU is running radar on the interstate to catch marked units speeding? I understand they have gotten a boatload of overtime but that only two Sgt.'s seem to be using it.

Didn't see the story, but in BOTH cases, the officers were in clear violation of the laws relating to emergency driving - that's the problem. Law enforcement has the authority to be exempted from certain laws when driving code - but you STILL have to have 1) lights, 2) siren and 3) driving with DUE REGARD. You aren't doing anyone, including yourself, any favor when you don't get to the scene - and EACH of these officers never made it to the scene, and their actions meant OTHER officers didn't make it to the scene either, because they diverted to help their fellow officer. How would you feel if your family members was cruising along, obeying the law, only to be broadsided by a police car they never had a chance to avoid because the officer was running hot without lights and siren?

I'm not worried about officers speeding - but there are laws specifically FOR driving code.
