Well when I worked in Kansas City MO, we as beat cops processed all of our own scenes...burglaries and recovered stolens. We sent in the prints we lifted and Yes, we got hits back and arrests were made. KC is a big city dept and yes, we came to work 30 runs down, but we still processed all of our own scenes.. It can be done, it is just not a priority of this dept at this time. I don't think we would even have someone to enter all the finger prints into the system for a match. Scott Russ
