They won't release stats that could reveal what's actually happening. No stats on the average ages, years of service, stated reason for leaving, whether they retired, what department they went to or if they left law enforcement for a different career. They also don't reveal the clearance rates of the detective units, the numbers of stops, the numbers of felony warrants served or other measures of productivity. Command would prefer LMPD to be a black box and they the Wizards of Oz behind the curtain. The judges and prosecutors are the same, with their recently suppressing info about criminal cases that was previously publicly available for over 100 years before they went into full coverup mode because OConnell thinks it will help him avoid multi million dollar verdicts against Metro in the Explorer case and serial rape case. I seriously doubt it.

On one of the forms I had to submit for retirement there was something about an exit interview. I declined it. I just wanted to get out as soon as I could.

Once the city gets it way and puts everyone on a $1200 a month family plan insurance, those officers who went to smaller departments that pay less will be coming out ahead of lmpd. Get out while you can, there are plenty of places that offer comparable pay and much better insurance.
