It's not that simple except in a college class, which I suspect is where you got those kinds of ideas in the absence of real life experience.

There are lots of articulate, educate, well spoken, grammatically correct idiots with college degrees. I see them on TV every day. Some of them are called politicians.

I also know many borderline illiterate people who have enough common sense and innate skills to make it obvious they're smarter than the educated idiots.
