If Conrad's forced out under Fischer, then one of the other command staff who's had nothing to do with the explorers will get the job. 3. The chief never told her and lied on the stand. Fischer and all his deputies were in the dark. Fischer therefore appears too busy with the more frivolous parts of his job rather than running the city.

4. The Mayor and deputy mayor were told, don't remember the time the chief told them officers were molesting kids, or that members of the department covered it up.

Any of those possibilities is enough to tip the election by 10 points and he barely beat Hal Heiner when his record was still unblemished. It doesn't matter if he replaces Conrad or not. I expect he'll keep Conrad and use the Clintonian "deny everything" strategy. This will allow Leet to wipe the floor with his political career in November.
